Flintham and District Agricultural Society’s 101st Ploughing Match and Show was attended by Her Royal Highness, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh on September 28th.

The Duchess is passionate about food production and the contribution that farmers and growers make to our national life and is a longstanding champion for agricultural shows, having served as Patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations since 2012.

She was given a tour of the showground on a tractor and trailer and was accompanied by the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Sir John Peace.
